Daily Pilot High School Female Athlete of the Week
Newport Harbor girls’ soccer senior Scout Farmer, the Daily Pilot High School Female Athlete of the Week, has three goals and an assist so far this season. On Thursday, she scored the Sailors’ only goal in a 1-1 Battle of the Bay tie at rival Corona del Mar, assisted by a long throw-in from freshman Alyssa Sims.
Newport Harbor strikes late to capture tournament title over Beckman
Scout Farmer, the feisty senior captain for the Newport Harbor High girls’ soccer team, got a yellow card late in the Best in the West Winter Soccer Classic “ABCD” division title match Saturday. With the game in hand, Farmer didn’t really mind. The position on the bench would actually be advantageous to her moments later after the final whistle.
